Crook County Historical
Society
Membership in the Crook
County Historical Society is
open to all people interested
in the history of Crook County.
The Society runs and man-
ages the Bowman Museum,
located on the corner of Main
and Third streets. They also
organize several field trips to
local historical sites and
sponsor potlucks and busi-
ness meetings several times
a year. The Society sponsors
the Pioneer Picnic in August
and the Past Pioneer Queens’
Dinner in February.

Crook County Kids Club
The Crook County Kids Club is a non-
profit organization dedicated to improving
the future of Crook County by bringing the
community together to support the kids of
Crook County, and to help them grow into
responsible adults. The club provides pro-
grams that assist with character develop-
ment, health and life skills, and planning
and implementing community service
learning projects for children in kinder-
garten through eighth grade. The CCKC is
open daily after school and on non-school
workdays for engaging and enriching activi-
ties. Full-day programs are available for
spring break and summer.

The Crook County Little League season
begins each year in April. Signups take
place in January and February.
T-Ball:

Crook County United Fund serves
Prineville and Crook County. In 2010-11,
they funded 19 non-profits, all of whom
provide services to the residents of Crook
County.

Crook County Quilt Guilds
Classes are offered for different aspects
of quilting. Quilters gather to complete
quilts. The group is involved in the hospice
auction, Relay for Life, and donates quilts
and pillows for cancer patients. The guilds
host an annual quilt show the weekend of
the Crooked River Roundup at the Crooked
River Gym.

Crook County Rodders
This is a group of car enthu-
siasts who welcome all who
have an interest in cars. There
is no requirement that you
own a classic car to become a
member, just that you have an
interest in cars. They welcome
members of all ages.
The members help support each other
and have fun enjoying what the classic car
world has to offer. Members participate in
several car shows throughout the year
including the Annual Cruise to the Center of
Oregon show held every year in September.
They enjoy local as well as distant outings.
They participate in campouts, dinners, par-
ties, barbecues, and much more.
