addition, they have delicious butters, jams, and dried fruits – all of
which are sold at their fruit stand. A variety of locally-made cheeses
and salamis, along with cooked-to order hamburgers and hotdogs
are also available at the fruit stand.
Many varieties of each type of fruit are available in abundance,
including apples, apricots, cherries, nectarines, peaches, pears, and
plums.
The orchards are open each year from the end of June, when the
cherries ripen, through October, when the last of the apples are
ready. The fruit stand is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., during the peak
season.
The orchards are located in Kimberly, just a little north of Dayville,
Ore.

Cada Dia Cheese
Have you ever wondered about the cheese-making process?
Cada Dia Cheese is a family operation owned by the Sullivan family
of Prineville.
The family began
making cheese on a
small dairy farm in
New Mexico. In 2009,
they relocated to
Prineville. With a
small number of
cows and four family
members, their
cheese operation is
completely
contained on the
farm. They milk the
cows, make the
cheese, and age it
— all in one place.
They have 22
Jersey cows that
graze 60 acres of
irrigated pasture.
Their cows are
considered
organic because
Cada Dia Cheese
does not use
herbicides or
pesticides. A
diet of pasture
grass is the
reason their
cheese is high
in omega 3 fatty acids.
They specialize in hard cheeses from raw milk
and at different times produce cheddar, parmesan, feta, farmstead,
parmesan, and Monterey jack.
You can come to the farm located at 9609 N.W. Sharp Road any day
of the week before noon to take a short tour and buy cheese. Please
contact them a day in advance at
. Visit
their website at
