one of Central Oregon’s own food and
beverage tours. Whether you are

winter weather, there is something for
everyone.
Maragas Winery
“I’d like a little wine with my cheese,
please. Can you recommend a local
wine?”
Maragas Winery has no problem
satisfying the fussiest pallet from their
wine list. They specialize in a hearty
Bordeaux, but also produce many white
wines which includes a southern
European-style muscat, German-style
pinot gris, and a new-age-style
chardonnay.
The winery located at 15523 S.W.
Highway 97 in Culver, is open for tours
and tasting every day of the week from
11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Goody’s Chocolate and Ice
Cream Factory
“Dessert anyone?”
Willy Wonka has nothing on Goody’s.
There’s nothing better than the smell of
chocolate…unless of course it’s the
taste of chocolate. During the 15-
minute walking and tasting tour,
Goody’s guides will show you a real
working factory where they create more
than 100 different sweet treats,
including gourmet chocolates, fudge,
caramel corn, toffee, peanut brittle, and
Goody’s ice cream.

Thomas Orchards
“Perhaps a little fruit would be nice. What do you offer?”
Thomas Orchards offers an unusual and tasteful experience to visitors looking for some
crisp, fresh fruit to tempt their taste buds. Many an artist has sat among the trees to paint the
colorful scenery. The tour begins at the outdoor fruit stand where you tell them what kind of
fruit you want and the staff draws a map for direction. Then, off to a self-directed tour of the
orchards to pick your own fruit right off the tree. It doesn’t get fresher than that.
Tours are welcome, but the owners ask that you call ahead for a reservation.
If you don’t want to pick your own fruit, you may buy already-picked fruit at the stand. In
