During August, classical music enthusiasts can take in the Sunriver Music Festival.
In its 36th year, the event provides several
classical music concerts between
Aug. 9 and 21. The concerts take
place at the Great Hall, a unique,
rustic, indoor venue in Sunriver, as
well as the Tower Theater in
downtown Bend and Summit

If folk music is more your
style, the Sisters Folk Festival
takes place Sept. 6-8. The
three-day festival, started in
1995, is held on six stages in
the Sisters area with their
main stage situated in the
downtown portion of the
small community. Patrons
are treated to a variety of
American roots music from
blues to bluegrass.
