tary donations will be accepted to benefit the Oregon Food
Bank. A brass ensemble will also perform during the Dec. 6
Beaverton Tree Lighting Ceremony near the Beaverton City
Library entrance.
INTERFAITH THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION AND FELLOWSHIP DINNER
— In this, the season of the harvest and traditional time for
thanksgiving, a special gathering is planned: the 16th annu-
al Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration. Free and open to ev-
eryone, this celebration is co-sponsored by the Inter-Reli-
gious Action Network of Washington County and some 20
faith communities and organizations in Washington County
and Portland. The celebration will take place on Sunday,
Nov. 24, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, 955 N.W. 173rd Ave. in Beaverton. With
the theme, “Thankful for Each Other and Our Faith,” the
celebration seeks to foster friendship and unity among ma-
ny diverse faith communities, and to share the joy of thanks-
giving by helping the less fortunate. The celebration will
feature a combined interfaith choir, readings from many
faith traditions, and “America’s Table,” a Thanksgiving re-
flection upon the history and promise of America. Everyone
will be invited to partake in a fellowship meal centered on
soup, salad and dessert.
HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE
— Art on Broadway offers its annual Holi-
day Boutique, which opens on Nov. 29 and continues through
Dec. 24 at the gallery in the heart of downtown Beaverton at
12570 S.W. Broadway St. Member artists will bring an array
of unique handmade gift items, including ornaments made
from glass, wood and clay; holiday greeting cards; fabric
purses and throws; handwoven scarves; quilted tea cozies
and wallets; quilted table runners; raku ceramics and more.
