“IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE”
— This musical adap-
tion of Frank Capra’s beloved film is sure to
fill you with the holiday spirit. The perfor-
mance, a Stumptown Stages original musi-
cal, focuses on an angel who shows a despon-
dent man the true meaning of life. Perfor-
mances are Nov. 21 through Dec. 22 at the
Portland Centers for the Arts. The Brunish
Theatre is located at 1111 S.W. Broadway in

“SANTALAND DIARIES”
— Another holiday pro-
gram by Portland Center Stage. The PCS
website says “Santaland Diaries” are “based
on the outlandish and true chronicles of Da-
vid Sedaris’ experience as Crumpet the Elf in
Macy’s Santaland display, this hilarious cult
classic features comic encounters during the
height of the holiday crunch.” “Santaland
Diaries” runs Nov. 24 through Dec. 29 in the
Ellyn Bye Studio. Performance times: Tues-
day-Sunday at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sun-
day matinees at 2 p.m.; Thursday matinees at
noon. There are age restrictions, so visit pcs.

“THE CHRISTMAS REVELS 2013”
— Enjoy royal
intrigue and regional rivalries in Old Europe
with this performance at the historic Scottish
Rite Center Theater at 1512 S.W. Morrison in
downtown Portland. You’ll hear music from
an auditioned chorus of 65 singers, who
