Sixth annual holiday art and craft sale
The Oswego Heritage House, Nov. 23 and
24, 10 a.m to 5 p.m. The art and craft sale
will feature original paintings and prints
from prize-winning painters throughout
this area, note cards and a wide variety
of holiday gifts that will include glass,
puppets, jewelry and much more. Addi-
tional features include a raffle basket
with gifts galore.
Santa Claus visits on both days, and
winners of the History Coloring Book
Contest will be announced. The Os-
wego Heritage House is located at the corner of 10th Street and

Tree lighting
— Sequoia tree at Fifth and A, Mil-
lennium Plaza Park, Nov. 29, 5:30 p.m. Join the
city of Lake Oswego and the Lake Oswego Cham-
ber of Commerce for the 49th tree lighting cele-
bration the day after Thanksgiving in downtown
Lake Oswego. Enjoy free cookies and treats while
choir members from Lake Oswego High School
bring the season alive with joyous caroling. May-
or Kent Studebaker will welcome the crowd and
count down the lighting of the tree. Donations of
nonperishable canned foods for the Oregon Food
Bank and/or unwrapped toys will be accepted
from anyone wishing to make a donation for fam-
ilies in need. Look for collection bins at Millenni-
um Plaza Park.
Horse-drawn wagon rides
— Nov. 30, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Dec. 7, 4 to 8
p.m. Lake Oswego Adult Community Center, 505 G Ave. Slow down and
savor the sights and sounds of the holiday season with a memorable
carriage ride through the First Addition neighborhood. Snuggle un-
der the blankets and enjoy the magic of the majestic horses and twin-
kling lights. Wagon ride costs: Adults (18 and older) $3; youth (17 and
younger) $2.
Holiday market and mistletoe merriment
— Dec. 6, 5 to 8:30 p.m. and
Dec. 7, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., West End Building, 4101 Kruse Way. Enjoy the
old-fashioned charm of the holidays as you shop for exceptional trea-
sures. Warm up with a festive Friday evening happy hour and enjoy
family activities on Saturday that include train rides and a visit with
Santa. Merry holiday additions have been added to this annual event,
which is co-presented by the city of Lake Oswego and Lake Oswego
Mothers Club.
