Pioneer Memorial Hospital (PMH) is a Trauma Level IV, Critical
Access Hospital, offering a comprehensive range of services to the
people who live, work, and play in our community. A 25-bed facili-
ty, PMH is a proud member of St. Charles Health System, a pri-

Family Care:
Their team of
family doctors
and physician
assistants will
take a comprehensive approach to your health care, giving you the
tools and support you need to stay well. Because St. Charles
Family Care in Prineville is part of the St. Charles Health System,
you'll have ready access to specialized services as you need them.
Emergency Department:
This team is specially-trained and experi-
enced, and ready to provide top-notch care 24/7. The emergency
department is staffed 24/7 with physicians who provide services
at both Pioneer Memorial Hospital and St. Charles Redmond. The
nurses have special certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support,
Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Trauma Nurse Core
Curriculum, which helps to ensure the highest quality care to every
patient. They also provide outpatient Infusion Services, which
allows patients to receive antibiotics or other IV medications close
to home. They serve an average of more than 600 cases per
month.
Surgery:
The surgery suites are well-equipped. They perform
both inpatient surgery and outpatient or same-day surgeries.

lar, and dental

perform a variety
of outpatient pro-
cedures such as
colonoscopy, hys-
teroscopy and
pain manage-
ment.
Medical/Surgical
Care Unit:
Provide
inpatient, outpa-
tient, and obser-
vation care to a
variety of patients
from every age of
life. They also
offer respite and
end-of-life care for
Hospice patients.
The Swing Bed
Program is an
inpatient rehabili-
tation service that
provides physical,
occupational, and
speech therapies.
Intensive Care Unit:
Highly-skilled critical care nurses work with
physicians, respiratory therapists, and others to provide life-sus-
taining care for severe illness or injury. The ICU utilizes a full com-
plement of advanced technology and team members are certified
in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support
and Procedural Sedation.
Hospice Care:
Hospice is compassionate care for people facing a
life-limiting illness, and involves a team-oriented approach to
expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiri-
tual support expressly tailored to the patient's needs and wishes.
Emphasis is on comfort and quality of life for patients and their
