Medical laboratory
professionals use state-of-the-art technolo-
gy to deliver timely and accurate results to
care providers.
Imaging Department:
Skilled staff provides
technical studies using digital technology in
ultrasound, mammography, spinal CT scan-
ner, MRI, EKG, Dexascan, and X-ray. The
PACS system makes studies available to
radiologists and doctors in Central Oregon,
no matter the location of their office.
Nutrition Counseling:
Registered and
licensed dieticians give special attention to
diabetes education, weight loss, and other
specialized nutritional counseling.
Respiratory Therapy:
Experienced and
licensed therapists serve our patients in the
emergency, surgery, inpatient, or outpatient
departments. They also perform pulmonary
function testing and provide smoking cessa-
tion support.
Rehabilitation Services:
St. Charles offers
outpatient physical, speech, and occupa-
tional rehabilitation services so that Crook
County residents can receive this care clos-
er to home. In addition, their team provides
cardiopulmonary rehabilitation at Pioneer
Memorial Hospital.
CHIP Program:
CHIP (Community Health
Improvement Partnership) is an organiza-
tion that brings together local residents
and healthcare providers to find ways to
improve residents’ health and address
their health and healthcare needs. It is
focused on three areas: dental, healthy
lifestyles, and prevention of childhood
obesity, teen substance use/abuse, and
teen pregnancy.

Community Wellness
Classes:
Our
Community’s Health is
a series of free seminars given by medical
and caregiving team members on various
health-related topics. “Living Well with
Chronic Conditions” (a Stanford University
program) and “Freshstart,” the ALA
approved tobacco cessation course are
offered in conjunction with community part-
ners. Speakers and facility tours are avail-
able for many civic groups and organiza-
tions. PMH also serves as a meeting place
for community organizations. Bereavement
Support, Caregiver Support, and Volunteer
Training groups are ongoing. Call the Home
Health Department at 541-706-7796 to
inquire.

Many medical specialists make their
home in Prineville, and practice in fields
ranging from emergency medicine to gener-
al, thoracic, vascular, and orthopedic sur-
gery to podiatry, family practice, gynecolo-
gy, internal medicine, obstetrics, neurology,
psychology, cardiology, physical and respira-
tory therapy, radiology, sport medicine, oph-
thalmology, hospitalists, ear nose and
throat, midwifery, chiropractic, and naturo-

Formerly known as Ochoco Community
Clinic, Mosaic Medical is a non-profit health
care organization in Crook County. Their
mission is to improve the lives and health
of low-income, uninsured, and under-
insured individuals and families. The clinic
offers culturally-appropriate primary care
services, mental health, and dental servic-
