I
can still remember watching
my mother in the 60’s walking
out the door, her patent heels
clicking away on the sidewalk,
wearing a brocade sheath
and looking so smart with her pearl
necklace and matching earrings. I
admired her so much and decided at
that moment, I knew I wanted to be
like her when I grew up: self-assured
with a big
smile, soft
perfume,
and beauti-
ful pearls
around my
neck…as
though the
world was
my oyster.
As a teen I worked the jewelry coun-
ter at our local department store and
found myself fascinated with all the
styles, colors and glamour of jewelry.
Soon I had a whole clientele request-
ing that I help them. It was a great
learning experience and introduction
to the fascinating world of jewelry.
There is one thing for certain -
whether you invest in a personal piece
of fine jewelry or
you play with
costume
pieces,
you’ll definitely be taking a second
look at the necklaces, rings and ear-
rings from Dyke Vandenburgh Jewel-
ry, Trios Studio, Lucky Me and Ac-
cessories from the Heart. They carry
all the statement making necklaces
and collars to jazz up your jewelry
collection. When it comes to baubles
without boundaries, understatement
is out and everything impactful,
sparkle plenty, colorful or crys-
tallized is in.
Enjoy these top trends for the
holidays and into 2014.

this one-of-a-

cus-

a scattering of shimmering Drusy
crystals, accented with a marquee
diamond “full of fire” and set in 18
karat white gold on a multi-strand
neck wire.
Ring (above):
Black Australian opal
with exceptional movement and glit-
ter, accented with sapphires and fancy
intense yellow diamonds, perfectly set
in 18K rose gold.
Necklace (above):
Three articu-
lated stations that move well with
you and lay prettily on the neck. A
popular choice of 18K white and rose
gold, with pave’ diamonds on a multi-
strand neck wire.
Necklace (above):
Teardrop multi-
colored sapphires show the sparkle
and brilliance of this special piece.
Reminiscent of miniature Christmas
tree lights. A wear-all-the-time, ev-
erywhere necklace with matching
earrings, and a whopping total 68
karats of sapphires.
Ring (above):
“Sparkle” plenty band-
style ring. Individual bezel set dia-
monds on your finger. Feels and looks
much like droplets of diamonds. What
girl wouldn’t want one!

ever I visit this happy little shop, I
click my heels and say “Lucky Me!”

garnet, peridot, amethyst and topaz.
The matching flower earrings are the
perfect accessory, especially bright
and pretty on our own Miss Oregon,
Gabrielle Nielan.
