Terry Sprague, CEO and Owner of LUXE Platinum Properties and Christie’s International Real Estate once again
pushed the boundaries of marketing to create a wonderful evening highlighting one of their featured listings.
“THE GREAT GATSBY”
lavish
On October 17, 2013 LUXE Plati-
num Properties and a select
group of Portland’s top luxury
brands, including Luxe Interiors
+ Design magazine, Christie’s
International Real Estate and
PURE Insurance, came together
to host a Great Gatsby themed
party where 150 of their clients
were transported back in time
to the gilded age. The party was
held in a privatemansion, resting
atop a hill on a secluded 11 acre
property in West Linn, whose
columned entry, indoor pool and
movie theater room would make
Daisy Buchanan swoon.
Dressed in the high-flying, flap-
per style, guests were treated to
gastronomic creations from chef
Adam Higgs of Acadia Bistro,
while bartenders crafted 1920’s
era liba-tions. Swinging jazz mu-
sic and light glinting off the Crys-
tal chandeliers set an enchanted
scene inside, while outside high-
powered Maseratis and Porches
brought by Steve Tonkin from
Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo held
court. Co-host Terry Sprague of
LUXE Platinum Properties was
seen mingling with guests John
Ward and David and Heidi Nel-
son near an eye-catching blue
Maserati. Looking chic in black,
co-host Debby Steiner of Luxe
magazine was photographed in
a red Porsche.
The ladies of the Gatsby Night,
who notably included Dr. Em-
ily Hu, Maureen Sprague and
Kendra Ratcliff, were treated to
a dazzling display of diamonds
and a selection of stunning
watches including Rolex, from
Packouz Jewelers. Owner Rick
Mahler personally selected the
pieces, including a covetable
5 Carat Fancy Yellow diamond
ring with matching earrings by
JB Star. Asked about the event,
Mahler said, “The party was fun
and the location was spectacu-
lar.” He also noted the event was
a great oppor-tunity to partner
with like-minded, high end busi-
nesses.

the most difficult item to come by may be an invite!
