ith 27 public or semi-public golf
courses and several more private
courses, Central Oregon is
rapidly becoming a golfer’s paradise.
The region boasts some of the most
beautiful golf courses in the country. Not
only are the courses beautiful, golfers can
choose from some of the most varied
courses imaginable.
The region offers courses cut into
stately stands of forested timber, as well
as courses filled with meadows and lakes.
With the recent addition of Tetherow Golf
Club, the region now also has a Scottish
style links course.
Each course has its own unique
structure, style, and challenges. Each
community in Central Oregon boasts at
least one golf course. From small,
intimate, nine-hole courses to executive
courses, all the way to challenging 18-
hole tournament-level courses, there is a
golf course available for every level of
golf ability and interest.
Resorts such as Black Butte Ranch,
Brasada Ranch, Eagle Crest, and Sunriver
provide visitors with luxury lodging,
quality dining, and challenging, scenic,
nationally-known courses.
By contrast, courses such as Crooked
River Ranch, Meadow Lakes, or Prineville
Golf Club are seldom crowded and offer
friendly service along with spectacular
opportunities for viewing local wildlife.
With so many choices, Central Oregon
really does have something to offer every
golfer.
