Dazzling, pulling oohs and aahs from both children and adults, fireworks just
might be the best part of the Fourth of July celebrations. Following each
PRCA rodeo, there will be a large fireworks show.
But if the big displays each night aren’t enough for you and you decide to set
off your own, here are a few tips from the Oregon State Fire Marshal to help keep
you safe:

• Always read and follow directions
• Store out of reach of children
• Light only one firework at a time
• Keep your distance from fireworks as they go off
• Do not throw or hold fireworks in your hands
• Soak used fireworks in a bucket of water
• Don’t relight “dud” fireworks but instead soak them in water
