Back to school! Yah…or Boo?
We’ve been hearing cheers from
moms and groans from teenagers
here at the Club! Back to school defi-
nitely has it’s ups and downs, the best
part though are fall sports, crisp
mornings and a rush to get back to a
consistent routine. As we watch our
patrons move their fitness back
indoors we are excited to show off our
2 new personal trainers; Mikki
Baguio and Jill
VanAtta! The
addition of these
two experts
rounds out our
professional staff
by providing
something or
rather someone
for everyone! A
quick bio on each
trainer:
• Mikki is an expert in small group
training, buddy training and working
with women who want to lose weight,
get in shape and feel better. Mikki’s
connection with her client goes
beyond fun!
• Jill specializes in personal training
for competitions , sports, boot camp
and dietary guidance. Jill is an accom-
plished competitor herself. She will be
offering a Zumba class beginning
September 30th….and wow that is
fun!

ing, special populations, military

For the Month of September we are
offering our “3 get started” personal
training package for only $99 or $25
off a full 10 package. Personal train-
ing is available for both members and
non-members.
Earlier this year we began offering
our own CORE-FIT class series which is
similar to crossfit but BETTER. Ron
has designed these classes for client
achievement, growth and injury pre-
vention and by tailoring the workout
to the class it
has been a huge
success. As a
whole the
Sunrise CORE-
FIT group has
lost approx.. 200
pounds and
have increased
their strength by
leaps and
bounds. Recently Ron has several
young men from the football team try
the class and they all agreed if they
had been doing the program all sum-
mer they would be 100% ready for the
season.
This program is perfect for off sea-
son conditioning. For more informa-
tion on CORE-Fit contact Ron directly

Remember to hydrate!
Water is important to the body because it keeps the body from overheating. When
you exercise, your muscles generate heat and to eliminate the heat the body
discards it through sweat. When sweat evaporates, it cools the tissues beneath.

X-rays have long been one of the most commonly used diagnostic tools in the med-
ical and dental fields. They have been around since the 1800’s and are used to view the
hard structures of the body that can not be seen with the naked eye, such as bones
and teeth.
Traditional x-rays use a film that is processed in chemicals to expose the image, simi-
lar to photographs taken with a non-digital camera. Dental x-rays are about 1 inch by
2 inches in size, and take 7-10 minutes to develop and dry before the film can be
viewed by the dentist. These films are so small that many patients are not able to see
what the dentist is showing them, and they have to depend on the dentist telling
them the problem exists.
Digital radiology, one of the most exciting new dental
technologies, has recently been installed in our office.
Digital x-rays offer many advantages over the traditional
film based x-rays. They do not need developing to be
viewed, reducing chemical waste and helping to save our
environment. Digital x-rays also can be viewed within sec-
onds, reducing the amount of time you will spend in the
dentist office. One of the greatest benefits I have seen is the
reduction of radiation exposure to patients and staff. Our
office has reduced radiation use by 80%, while getting larg-
er, better quality x-rays.
Digital x-rays appear directly on the computer monitors
in our patient rooms. The images on the screen can be mag-
nified so you, the patient, can easily see the area of concern
and have a better understanding regarding suggested treat-
ment of the area. We can also colorize the images on the
screen or change the contrast (brightness/darkness) to make viewing even easier. We
can even reverse the image, allowing us to see the health of the bone and teeth.
One of the greatest benefits of digital x-rays is that we have the ability to see trou-
ble spots, such as decay and bone problems, early on. Early detection means preven-
tive or minimal treatment which requires less dental work and less time in the dentist’s
office. The end result is healthier teeth and jaw bones, and best of all; you have more
free time and money to spend the way you want.
In our office, our goal is help you have a healthy smile that is free of dental disease.
Utilizing our new digital x-ray equipment, we can meet our goal and help our patients
effectively and efficiently. If you would like to know more about digital x-rays or how
we can help you save time and money on your teeth, please call Dr Cary for an
appointment at 503.266.6844 or visit him at
