promenade with your
friends around the ar-
ea? Several local
square dance clubs and orga-
nizations are looking to teach
you the steps.
Never square danced be-
fore? Dancers work in teams
of eight — called squares, per-
forming the dance steps dic-
tated from a “caller” to form a
fast-paced dance.
Dance clubs offer lessons to
newbies and often offer cheap
admission prices for experi-
enced dancers.
