What’s going on
FIRESIDE CHAT WITH THE MAYOR
Each month, Tigard Mayor John L. Cook
invites residents
to join him for a
Fireside Chat. The
mayor encourages
locals to bring
concerns and ideas
to each chat. Or
you can drop by
simply to say hello.
The next Fireside
Chat is Nov. 7,
from 6 to 8 p.m.,
at Symposium
Coffee at 12345
S.W. Main St. It’s
an open discussion period. Visit the city of
Tigard at tigard-or.gov.
DOWNTOWN TIGARD NIGHT OUT
For newcomers to Tigard, Downtown
Tigard Night Out is a great chance to
experience the
downtown scene
and introduce
yourself to
merchants.
On Friday,
Nov. 15, you’ll
enjoy shopping,
tastings,
dining, music
and classes.
This fun event
takes place on
the third Friday of each month and
runs from 4 to 9 p.m.
Visit tigard-or.gov or exploredowntown

BROADWAY ROSE THEATRE
COMPANY
Broadway Rose just wrapped up
performances of “Lucky Stiff.” Does
Broadway Rose rest after a show ends?
Hardly. It is already preparing for “Plaid
Tidings.” The holiday revue, written by
Stuart Ross, begins Nov. 27 and runs
through Dec. 22. According to the Broadway
Rose website, “The ‘heavenly’ 1960s quartet
The Plaids aren’t sure why they’ve returned
to Earth for a posthumous performance,
but a phone call from Rosemary Clooney
lets them know that they’re needed to put
a little holiday harmony into a discordant
world.” Performances will be held at the
Broadway Rose New Stage at 12850 S.W.
Grant Ave. Visit broadwayrose.org for
more information about the production
or about purchasing tickets.
