GIFT GUIDE 2013
Thursday, December 5, 2013
A
t the end of the year, many Ameri-
cans make donations to charity or-
ganizations as a gesture of good-
will as well as to lower their tax
bill. You may want to investigate how much
of your donation actually will go to the
cause rather than to its administration. Ma-
ny free resources are available on the Inter-
net to help you determine how much of your
donation goes to administration and other
non-cause related expenses. Charity Naviga-
tor (charitynavigator.org), Give.org (give.
org) and the American Institute of Philan-
thropy (charitywatch.org) can help you
make informed donations.
The following is a list of area charities you
might consider worthy of your donation this
season.
