Michele Drey & Branded
Back again is Michele Drey and the Branded Band! The Branded
Band was formed by Michele Drey in late 2009 in Vancouver,Wash.
Over the next few years, Drey's powerful vocals and dynamic stage
presence, coupled with the band's modern country sound began
attracting a large base of fans.
As the fan base grew, Branded began playing at venues and festi-
vals throughout the Northwest, such as Jubitz Ponderosa Lounge, the
Portland Rose Festival, Bushwackers Country Bar, Spirit Mountain
Casino and Dodge City Saloon, to name a few.
You can see them perform at the Clackamas County Fair on
Friday,
Aug. 16,
on the Main Lawn Stage.
One of the reasons that Michele Drey and Branded has attracted a
dedicated following is their careful balance of covers and originals.
Fans at one of Branded's shows are guaranteed to hear some of their
favorite country songs, along with brand new tunes written by the
band members and by renowned songwriters such as Michael Jarrett
(Songwriter for Elvis Presley and Michele Drey's father) and David Mac
Kechnie (Songwriter for Kenny Rodgers, John Denver, and Martina
McBride).
The band consists of some of the best musicians in Oregon and
Washington. Fronting the Branded Band is dynamic lead singer
Michele Drey, who prior to forming Branded, toured Europe in early
2009 with her Father's (Michael Jarrett) band.
The driving rhythm and high harmonies are provided by drummer
Eric Montgomery. Giving the band its foundation is bassist and vocal-
ist Rick Bouvette. Lead guitarist Kevin Jackson gives Branded its mod-
ern, rockin' country sound with his driving lead guitar and signature
solos. Keeping the country in the band is fiddler and singer Matt
Hundley.
