Donna Erwin is the owner of
Columbia River Gallery, now located
in the lower level of the same building
she has occupied since 1998. She sold
the building this past September and is
thrilled to be working closely with
Infusion Gallery, which now occupies
her former gallery space.
Custom framing is Donna’s passion and in
January of this year, she added three new framing
awards to her already impressive collection, placing 2nd
and 5th in the PPFA International Open and Print
categories in Las Vegas. She was also chosen a top 4
nalist nationwide in the TruVue “Champions of Conser-
vation” invitational framing competition.
In July
of 2012 she
was honored
as Troutdale’s
Citizen of the
Year for her
community
involvement,
having founded
and chaired the
First Friday Art
Walk, Troutdale Bite & Bluegrass Festival and Fall
Foliage Studio Tour to name a few.
Her new lower level space allows her to focus pri-
marily on her art (custom framing) while still offering
a nice selection of artwork, jewelry and gifts. Custom-
ers can drive around and park in the dedicated covered
parking spot or park on the street level and either take the
outside stairs or the inside stairs through Infusion Gal-
lery. Days and hours are Tuesday thru Saturday, 10:00
a.m. to 5:00p.m. and closed Sunday & Monday.

T
erry and Jodi Smoke are
celebrating their 25th
wedding anniversary this
year and 24 of those have
been spent owning East
County Businesses. Starting
with Nostalgia Antique Mall
in downtown Gresham and
after ten successful years,
they moved it to Troutdale. Soon after moving, they saw the
need in this up and coming tourist town for an old fashioned
general store.
They designed and built Troutdale General Store along with
daughter, Cassie, who has now joined the family business full
time after graduating from OSU. This 7,000 square foot, early
1900s replica building holds an ice cream parlor, candy store,
year ‘round holiday décor, café and gift shop.
When entering Troutdale General Store, it’s like stepping back
in time. As you see, they have utilized an antique back bar and
counter, original store displays and their antique advertising
collection. They have received many awards as well as attention
from Triple AAA Magazine, National Geographic Traveler and
as a top retailer in the nation by Urban Expositions. They are
most proud of their Readers’ Choice award for best gift shop
chosen by The Outlook and Sandy Post readers which they
have won four years in a row.
Troutdale General Store carries local NW products, unique
gifts and home décor, plus
over 200 types of chocolates
and nostalgic candies. The
café offers up breakfast
and lunch with baked egg
casseroles, pastries, fresh
roasted meat sandwiches and
homemade soups, including
their famous smoked salmon
chowder served every
weekend.
