entries to the Tour of Remodeled Homes.
Originally, this 1952 Lake Oswego
classic ranch lacked natural light and
felt confined. The outdated kitchen was
in need of a total makeover. The three
cramped bedrooms shared a single bath
and the floor plan was chopped up.
From the onset, the homeowner was an
active part of the remodel
team. Downsizing from a larger home,
we knew that finding innovative ways
to create space and stay within budget
would be a challenge. Plus, additional
square footage was needed for a master
suite addition.
The selected finishes for this exquisite
remodel are classic and timeless. This
renovation includes a well positioned
gourmet kitchen that now boasts a wide
open and inviting space. A newly updated
stone veneer fireplace using the original
1950s mantle became the centerpiece of
the living room. Beamed ceilings, new
windows and a combination of existing
and new hardwoods make this a warm
comfortable home. Energy updates were
incorporated throughout the home for
future savings.
The finished product proved to be
a spacious single level with plenty of
storage and lots of extras like central
vac, heated tile floors and a Sonos sound
system.
