This exciting
project has been in
the works for more
than six years and
marks the sixth
remodel project SLS
has provided for
this client over the years. After becoming
empty nesters, our clients wanted a place
to entertain, have fun, enjoy the summer,
soak in a hot tub and have full access to
outdoor living.
They also wanted to
provide a space for their
kids and their friends to
enjoy when they came
home to visit. SLS
designed and created a full complement
of outdoor living for this client, including
a fully operational outdoor kitchen, a BBQ
and bar entertainment area, and a wood
burning, gas-lighter equipped fireplace.
We built this all under a large, ranch-style
ceiling, complete with wood trim and
beams – the works! We created about 800
square feet of pure, private enjoyment
space for them to use.
The owners feel particularly proud of
the antler chandelier hanging from their
16-foot-tall ceiling and the stunning
wood trim that emphasizes the feeling of
outdoor living. Boasting a beautiful deck
area that’s adjacent to their concrete patio
but still exposed to summer sunshine
and an open air (yet covered) hot tub, this
space really has it all while still allowing
privacy. Large skylights create daytime
lighting for the space during summer
parties and even allows light to enter the
bedroom. We topped off the work with
full backyard landscaping, making this
paradise complete.
Our previous remodels to this home
include expanding the whole house 7 feet
on the garage side, including bedrooms,
living room and laundry. Also expanded
were the master bedroom, dining room,
updated kitchen, upper hall bath and
laundry room.
