Yvonne Pintello Prettyman
Yvonne Pintello Prettyman died on March 5, 2013 after a long battle with diabetes. She
was 66.
She is survived by her son Joseph Prettyman of Gainesville Florida; daughter Susan Jones
of Astoria; and brothers Nick Pintello and Martin Johnson both of Lincoln City.
Vina Mitchell
Vina Mitchell died on March 10, 2013 of cancer. She was 70. She was born Sept. 15,
1942 in Long Beach Calif. to Marcus and Irene Harshman.
She married Ron Mitchell Sept. 24, 1960. Mrs. Mitchell graduated from
Colton High School in 1960; raised two small children in Portland and
moved to Oregon City in 1968.
She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years. Mrs. Mitchell
belonged to the Jolly Jeepers for 20 years and won many trophies driving
jeeps.
She is survived by her mother Irene Meyer of Oregon City; husband,
Ron Mitchell of Beavercreek; son Doug Mitchell of Carus; daughter
Rhonda Roth of Beaverton; sister Cindy Coy of Oregon City; brother,
Mark Harshman of Gold Beach; and 2 grandsons.
Services will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Molalla Funeral Chapel.
The burial will be at Colton Lutheran Cemetery and contributions can be made to the
Oregon Humane Society.
Jesse Wayne Lott, U.S. Army (Retired)
Surrounded in love by his family and friends, Jesse Wayne Lott, 67, died of cancer in
Holcomb, Miss. on Sept. 27, 2012. Born in Pascagoula, Miss. on Jan. 3, 1945. He was the
only child of Jessie P. and Katherine Pate Lott.
He attended local schools in Grenada and Carroll counties, and Holmes College where he
majored in Pre-Law and Political Science. He continued his education throughout his 22-
year military career.
Between semesters while in college, Jesse married Joy Stallings of Cascilla, Miss. on Jan.
21, 1966. He later joined the Army and served in Vietnam, where his exposure to Agent
Orange eventually contributed to his death. Jesse’s duty assignments included Washington,
Georgia, California, Germany, and Portland, where he retired and has resided for the past 28
years.
Jesse was a member of Oak Hills Presbyterian Church in Milwaukie. He was passionate
about many things, particularly his patriotism, politics and helping anyone in need, especial-
ly the veterans and the elderly. He was a former candidate for Oregon State Senator, and
was active in civics and political organizations.
Jesse was predeceased by his father, Jessie P. Lott of Holcomb; and two long-time close
friends, Bob Crane of Glenns Ferry, Idaho and Col. (Ret.) Kenneth Reusser of Portland.
Survivors include his mother, Katherine Pate Lott of Grenada, Miss.; wife, Joy Stallings
Lott of Milwaukie, Ore.; daughter, Jessica (Chris) Corbett and their son, Jace, all of
Grenada, Miss. Jesse also leaves a daughter, Atlantis Baron, and her son, Carter, of Rohnert
Park, Calif.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jesse Wayne Lott will be held at 2:00 p.m. on
Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Oak Hills Presbyterian Church, 5101 SE Thiessen Rd.,
Milwaukie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s
Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box
758517, Topeka, KS 66675; or the Oak Hills Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 5101 SE

She passed away in Molalla, Ore. on March 5, 2013. She was 66.
Tlusty is survived by her husband, Harry Tlusty; daughters, Kelly Tlusty, Anna Ownby, Becky
Tlusty and Michelle McCormick; son, Mike Tlusty; and five grandchildren.
