unlimited access to the Lake Oswego’s Skate
Park at 5520 Willow Road. The 9,600-square-
foot park features a 4-by-24-foot quarter pipe,
a pyramid, two funboxes and three rails. It’s
open seven days a week from noon to 8 p.m.,
and provides plenty of fun opportunities for
beginners and experts alike. You can also get
a day pass for $4. To sign up, call 503-675-2579
or find the membership form at ci.oswego.

Visit the dog park
It’s summer for pets, too, and
dogs especially love the warmer
months. If you’re looking for
more than just the usual walk around the
block, take a detour to the Lake Oswego Dog
Park, which is located at Luscher Farm’s Ha-
zelia Field at 17800 Stafford Road, West Linn.
The park, which is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
daily, is divided into two sections: the north-
ernmost area for timid dogs and the area ad-
jacent to the parking lot for more confident
dogs. Just don’t forget to clean up after your
pet! Call 503-675-2549 for more information, or
visit ci.oswego.or.us/parksrec/dog-park.
Go for a row
You’ve seen them on television
during the Summer Olympics,
or maybe along the water on
your daily commute. Now, you can row your
own boat on the Willamette River during the
Charlie S. BrownWater Sports Center’s Learn
to Row Day on July 13. The event is limited to
those ages 13 and up. To register, visit lakeo-
swegorowing.com or call 503-758-5928.
Visit Luscher Farm
You could easily make a day
or two of exploring all that
Luscher Farm has to offer.
Whether it’s a simple walking tour of the
property, having a family picnic or taking a
gardening class, the farm has something to
offer for everyone. You can even volunteer
for a work party, if you feel like giving back
(the next work party is June 22 from 10 a.m. to
noon in the children’s garden). Contact Dawn
Grunwald at 503-534-5284 for more informa-
tion, or visit ci.oswego.or.us/luscher.
Take a loop around the lake
At seven miles total, the loop
around Oswego Lake is no
breezy stroll, but it’s worth it for
plentiful views of the crystal blue water. The
route weaves west from Stafford Road along
South Shore Boule-
vard. At Lakeview
Boulevard, branch
west to the Bryant
Road path or take
the main loop route
east to the stairway
on the north side
of Lakeview. Go up
the stairs to Upper
Drive and continue
east to the Lake Oswego Hunt Club. Proceed
along Iron Mountain Boulevard to Chandler
Road and then to A Avenue. Turn east and
