“Being an artist can be a reclu-
sive profession,” said 2006 Chron-
icle winner Theresa Andreas-
O’Leary. “I had never known
sharing or collaboration until I
moved here. After joining a cri-
tique group, I have learned the
value in sharing art and stories.
I don’t have to be a hermit. I ap-
preciate the importance of giving
and getting so much in return.”
Andreas-O’Leary will exhibit
with Jean Gale, who is also in the
art critique group.
2005 Chronicle winner Phil
Bard will be exhibiting with his
protégé, photographer Beth Bu-
glione. “Beth has been a client of
my digital imaging business for
a couple years. She had obvious
photographic talent from the be-
ginning. I've only helped her with
her Photoshop technique from
time to time, and she has come
along impressively,” said Bard.
“In the end, no one can really
teach another how to see. This is
something she already does very
well on her own.”
“Phil is the only person I trust
to print my photographs,” said
Buglione. “He has been quite in-
spirational and influential in my
continued learning about the nu-
ances and intricacies of printing.
He is very generous with his time
when I have questions, and I am
incredibly grateful for the oppor-
tunity to showmyworkwith his.”
