N
ew Creations Interna-
tional was established
in 2010 as an online
merchant of high-quality
leather furniture. Owner Walt
Harris invested 30 years in the
leather furniture business and
decided it was time to leave the
traditional brick and mortar
storefront behind and go with a
modern, Internet approach. He
had all the right knowledge and
connections to become a mer-
chant using his own taste in de-
sign and color. Costco.com,
Amazon.com, Overstock.com
and Wayfair.com have become
ongoing vendors of New Cre-
ations products.
Walt’s innovative direction
proved to be successful and he
and his wife Diana have now
moved their new business from
home into a 3000-square-foot
warehouse/office in the Spring-
brook Industrial Park, 675 S.
Springbrook Road, Building A-
300, in Newberg. This location
is an open-to-the-public, dis-
count outlet for the local sale of
top-quality leather recliners,
sofas and ottomans at deeply re-
duced prices. There is a wide
selection of one-of-a-kind sam-
ples and like-new returns. Many
items are as much as 50 percent
off the suggested retail price.
Not having to pay high over-
head for roadside visibility al-
lows the savings to be passed on
to the customer. Getting the
word out to the community re-
garding this location is the next
step in continued growth.
Walt and Diana Harris are
longtime residents of Newberg
and are very loved and respect-
ed by those who know them.
They have a steady reputation
for quiet volunteerism and serv-
ice in the community. Walt’s ul-
timate goal is to be a light for
the Lord and allow God to use
the business to develop relation-
ships, not just to sell furniture.
He and Diana truly want to be
able to offer great furniture, ex-
ceptional customer service and
let that reputation speak for it-
self. Any success along the way
is quickly credited to Christ. For

All told, Johnson said
he expects the interior
repairs and renovations
to be complete by Octo-
ber, and he anticipated
that the furnishing of the
store would take about
two to three weeks more.
He said they have not
yet set a firm reopening
date, but will be releas-
ing information on their
website and Facebook
page as it becomes avail-
able. Visit crittercabana.
