Sports Recreation

Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) spans about 50 square miles, centered around Beaverton, serving more than 220,000 people throughout Washington County. THPRD provides year-round recreational and educational opportunities for people of all ages, including more than 200 parks, 60 miles of trails, eight swim centers, six recreation centers, and 1,300 acres of natural areas.  

Reputation for Sports and Outdoor Entertainment

The Beaverton area is known nationally as home to sports and outdoor companies. The region is home to many innovative companies that have pioneered different types of sports and outdoor activities including golf, running, biking, footwear, and apparel.

A New Home for the Winterhawks

The Portland Winterhawks joined the community, locating their offcial practice and development facility at the Winterhawks Skating Center in Beaverton. The facility is open to the public and hosts skate lessons, training and competitions.  

  Portland Timbers Practicing in Beaverton

The Portland Timbers and Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District announced a 10-year partnership that includes construction of the Adidas Timbers Training Center. The facility will be open to the public and the Timbers will partner

ith THPRD to provide youth clinics.
