Family Friendly Entertainment
Beaverton is a family town and yet things are changing! There are all sorts of new entertainment choices throughout Beaverton. This past year saw the opening of Big Al’s and John’s Incredible Pizza. South Beaverton is bursting with activity with the completion of Progress Ridge coming this fall. The Portland Business Journal recognized the development as a place that “promises to become a major entertainment hub for the Westside”.
Finding our Heart in the Park
City Park, with the fountain and library next door, is universally seen as the heart of the community. Each year, the City sponsors outdoor events and activities for people and pooches. Summer movies, concerts, information fairs and more.
Downtown: Coming Together
This year, community members came together and formed the Beaverton Downtown Association. This group is hands-on working on downtown revitalization. They are focused on promotions, marketing, design, historic preservation and more.
Beaverton Farmers Market
On any given Saturday from May through October, the place to be is the Beaverton Farmers Market. The library parking lot is transformed into a VIBRANT marketplace enjoyed by thousands of people throughout the region. Enjoy Market goods and other locally made specialty items year-round at AP Kitchen located on SW Broadway in Downtown Beaverton.
