SCION
Scion is a comparatively new brand founded in 2002 by Toyota
to produce cars aimed at the youth market. Scion’s product line
is simple and the company is devoted to keeping the value high
and the purchase price low. Scion is best-known for its iconic xB
hatchback, a boxy-looking vehicle that gained viral popularity as
a business and delivery van as well as personal transportation.
The A-class subcompact Scion iQ is new for 2012.
iQ
Scion is jumping into the premium micro-subcompact market
with the all-new iQ hatchback. The iQ’s “3+1” seating offsets the
driver’s and front-passenger’s seats to allow for one adult behind
the front passenger and a child behind the driver. The rear seats
are extremely versatile, featuring a 50/50 split and the ability to
fold flat. Active safety features include 10 airbags, vehicle stabil-
ity control, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribu-
tion, brake assist and Traction Control.

Scion’s successful tC performance sport coupe features a 2.5-liter
inline four-cylinder engine offering 180 horsepower and 31 MPG
on the highway. Performance has been improved through an
updated intake-manifold design and a sport-tuned lightweight
exhaust system that delivers a noticeably bold and aggressive
sound. Buyers have a choice of 6-speed manual or automatic
transmissions, along with a full set of technology options inside

xB
The venerable Scion xB is back for 2012, still offering the vehicle’s
trademark funky-cool boxcar looks and a host of popular fea-
tures, including an MP3-capable 6-speaker, 160 watt Pioneer
sound system, standard air conditioning and cruise control. A
full suite of safety features including traction and stability control
helped make the Scion xB a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance In-
stitute for Highway Safety. Bluetooth cell phone support and HD
radio are standard.

xD
Scion’s xD five-door urban subcompact rolls into its fifth model
year featuring a standard 160-watt Pioneer audio system. Avail-
able features include an organic electroluminescent screen,
iPod/USB connectivity, and a subwoofer RCA output. Scion also
offers an optional plug-in navigation unit for the optional Alpine
Premium audio system. Navigation and audio functions utilize
the head-unit screen for display. Owners can customize the ve-
hicle position icon from an arrow to a graphic of the xD, which
can be customized in every xD exterior color.

SUBARU
Like many automakers, Subaru got its start in the 1910s making
airplanes, but shifted to motor scooters and automobiles in the
1950s. Subaru began importing cars to the United States in 1968.
Today, the brand is best known for its symmetric all wheel drive
- a feature included on every car Subaru makes. With a full lineup
of passenger cars and crossover utility vehicles, Subaru is one of
the most popular brands in the Pacific Northwest. The brand’s
iconic Impreza sedan is newly redesigned for 2012.
Impreza
Subaru launches the all-new 4th generation Impreza for 2012
with a new 2.0-liter engine delivering the best fuel economy of
any AWD car sold in America. With the new addition, Subaru’s
Impreza line of sedans and hatchbacks ranges from the basic
Impreza 2.0i to the super high-performance Impreza WRX STI
model at 305 horsepower. Every Impreza comes with Subaru’s
symmetrical all wheel drive system, and a wide range of per-
formance and convenience options. Both the Impreza WRX and
WRX STI models are turbocharged. Additionally, the Impreza
can be outfitted with the outdoorsy Sport trim, featuring an all-
weather package, heated front seats, roof rails, and fog lights.

Legacy
Subaru’s premium line of Legacy passenger sedans continues to
lead the field in value for an AWD passenger car. The new Legacy
continues to use Subaru’s proven 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine in
normally aspirated or turbocharged form, and an optional 3.6-
liter 6-cylinder engine is also available. The 2012 Legacy is avail-
able with manual transmission or a continuously variable auto-
matic transmission, but all Legacies carry Subaru’s trademark
symmetrical all wheel drive system.

Outback
The fourth-generation Outback has been enlarged to create the
roomiest Outback ever, built on an all-new platform with longer
wheelbase and increased width for greater interior room. The
2012 Outback boasts a cruising range of 530 miles on 2.5i models
equipped with Subaru’s Lineartronic continuously variable trans-
mission. All Outbacks are outfitted with Subaru’s iconic all wheel
drive. Additional new features for 2012 include an available all-
new sound system with Bluetooth cell phone support.

SUZUKI
Founded in 1909 as a weaving loom manufacturer in Japan,
Suzuki has been best-known as a motorcycle manufacturer in
the United States. Suzuki entered the automobile market in 1985
with the popular Samurai compact SUV, following up with the
Sidekick SUV and the Swift hatchback. Today Suzuki sells mo-
torcycles, ATVs, and marine engines as well as a popular line of
cars, trucks, and SUVs.
Grand Vitara
Crossover shoppers often overlook the Suzuki Grand Vitara, but
if you’re looking for a lower price on a capable off-road SUV,
the Grand Vitara deserves your consideration. Unlike almost
every other crossover on the market, the Grand Vitara features
a traditional high- and low-range 4 Wheel Drive system, which
is tougher than the full-time AWD systems on most comparable
vehicles. Yet the Grand Vitara does not sacrifice comfort or fea-
tures compared to other vehicles in its class.

Kizashi
Suzuki’s upscale Kizashi offers the full sport compact car experi-
ence with your choice of front or all wheel drive, a peppy 2.4-liter

transmission. Inside, you’ll find an interior designed to compete
with the best from Asia and Europe. The 2012 Suzuki Kizashi is all
about a sophisticated and sporty driving experience at a bargain
price.

SX4
The Suzuki SX4 is available as a hatchback or subcompact sedan,
and the hatchback version (which Suzuki calls a Crossover Util-
ity Vehicle) is available with All Wheel Drive. Fans of sporty “hot
hatch” subcompacts will want to pay particular attention to the
SX4 Sportback, with its lower ride height, performance shocks
and standard stabilizer bars.

TOYOTA
Toyota is theworld’s largest automaker, producing over 1,750,000
vehicles per year. The Japanese company first imported cars to
the United States in 1957, and has grown to become a mainstay
of Americanmotoring. Today, the company lays claim to themost
popular hybrid vehicle, the Prius, and the best-selling Camry and
Corolla sedans, as well as a full line of passenger cars, pickup
trucks, SUVs, and crossovers. New for 2012, be sure to check out
the completely redesigned Camry and Camry hybrid, as well as
the larger Prius V sedan, and the redesigned Tacoma pickup.
4Runner
With 27 years of history behind it, the 2012 Toyota 4Runner
combines rugged body-on-frame construction with a smooth
suspension. Three trim levels include the base SR5, the luxury
Limited edition, and a Trail package for off-road use. Optional
third-row seats allow for up to seven passengers. Drivetrain con-
figurations include 4x2, part-time 4x4 and full-time multi-mode
4x4 with a locking center differential. All models are equipped
with a 4.0-liter V6 and a five-speed automatic transmission. New
