West Linn’s K-12 students are
served by the West Linn-Wilsonville
School District which is keeping pace
with our growing area and maintain-
ing one of the highest performance
standards for students and teachers
in the state.
An elected five-member board
meets regularly to conduct school
business. Staff will be headed by
Bill Rhoades.
The district covers 42 square miles
in the southern metropolitan area of
Portland. It includes two towns, West
Linn and Wilsonville, and a rural area
of Clackamas County. The district
has some 8,000 students in seven
primary schools (Boeckman Creek,
Bolton, Boones Ferry, Cedaroak
Park, Stafford, Sunset and Willa-
mette), three middle schools (Athey
Creek, Inza Wood and Rosemont
Ridge), three high schools (West
Linn, Wilsonville, and Town Center
School), and one charter school for
grades 4-8 (Three Rivers Charter
School).
It also operates CREST, the Center
for Research in Environmental Sci-
ences and Technologies.

A little history:
The Admin building was built in
1896 and functioned as a school until
1968. Around 1972 it became the
District Administration building.
The West Linn-Wilsonville School
District covers 42 square miles in the
south metropolitan area of Portland,
Oregon. The district includes two cit-
ies, West Linn and Wilsonville, and a
rural area of Clackamas County. The
district is a K-12 public school system
with approximately 8,400 students.
The West Linn-Wilsonville School
District prides itself on substantial
staff development opportunities for
its teaching staff. It is the district’s
belief that a well educated staff
serves its students well.
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
scores are among the highest in Or-
egon, and Oregon consistently ranks
first or second in SAT scores nation-
wide for states in which fifty percent
or more of the graduating seniors
take the test. Approximately 90
percent of all West Linn-Wilsonville
graduates go on to two- and four-
year colleges.
