2013 NW NATURAL STREET OF DREAMS
Block Party at Stonehenge: An exclusive preview
of the 2013 NW Natural Street of Dreams
The
Home Builders Association
held its
annual NW Natural Street of Dreams preview
celebration to open this year’s show at the
idyllic Stafford setting known as
Stonehenge
.
The 2013 Block Party was enjoyed by over
1,000 attendees who enjoyed the first look
at the nine beautifully designed and crafted
dream homes featured in this year’s show.
As the kickoff to one of the largest NWNatu-
ral Street of Dreams in the history of this long
running Portland tradition, the 2013 Block
Party had to live up to big expectations. And
deliver it did. A whimsical carnival theme
greeted the patrons as they mingled with
friends new and old while sampling an assort-
ment of gourmet food and beverages at each
of the luxury homes.
This year, the event was co-presented by
Community Financial
and
Nancy Gregg
with the
Realty Trust Group
. Food was pro-
vided by local caterers/restaurants including
Papa Murphy’s
,
Joe’s Burgers
,
Twigs Bistro
and Martini Bar, Celebrate Catering
,
Thai
Linn, Baja Fresh
,
Crave Bakery
,
Lucero Ol-
ive Oil
,
Nothing Bundt Cakes
and
Lamb’s
Market
at Palisades. Beverages were hosted
by
Indio Spirits Distillery
,
Tori Mor Winery
and
Château St. Michelle Winery

. other sponsors included

rin, M.D. Cosmetic Surgery
,

Appliance
,
Tigard FastSigns
,
The GrandHo-
tel at Bridgeport
and
Withers Lumber.
Patrick Lamb
provided the musical party
mood and
Portland Pages
provided a pho-
to booth for a fun opportunity for guests to
share. The proceeds from this year’s Block
Party were donated to the
Home Builder’s
Foundation
to help further its mission of pro-
viding transitional shelter assistance to our
area’s homeless.
In keeping with the Foundation’s program
of building, renovating and expanding shel-
ters, the event featured a fun new way for
guests to contribute to that most important
cause. Bid to Build allowed attendees to make
small, but valuable contributions directly to
upcoming shelter projects. Although the in-
dividual donations were small by design, they
combined to create a large impact.
This evening would not be possible without
the continued support of our incredible spon-
sors and builders who sacrificed their time and
allowed us all to enjoy their beautiful homes!
The Block Party would not have been such
a success without the leadership of
Nancy
Haskin
and her team from the HBA including
Helen Lewis
and
Hallie Gentry
and
Nicole
Bailey
from the Home Builder’s Foundation. I
want to also thank our Dream Team of volun-
teers including
Patty Cowdery
,
Tracy Root,
Sue DeHarpport
and
Susan Kuznitsky
.
The show is fantastic, the homes are luxu-
rious, and the kick-off party was memorable.
It was an honor to be part of the 2013 Block
Party at Stonehenge!
