Renee McDonald,

“It’s a beautiful fall day. I got my boots at Macy’s.”
Lauren Ehrlich,
Portland
“(I chose this outfit because of) the colors. I’m
just trying to make the scarf work for my outfit.
I had to wear it. This is from Forever 21.”
Riding boots
aren’t just for people who ride horses anymore.
With autumn in full swing, many local women have signed up for boot
camp — sporting leather boots which pull any outfit together. Paired with
the three s’s — sweaters, scarves and sunglasses — the fashion statement
is classic, sophistocated and warm. Wear them over skinny jeans and a
chunky sweater or with tights and a dress for work or play.
So, whether you’re an equestrian rider or not, you can look every bit the
part — stylish and classy — like these local woman.
Caught off-guard, these locals share how they put their outfits together
for a Lake Oswego outing:
Dorothy Schumacher,
Lake Oswego
“I thought it might be chilly and it’s
one of my favorite coats. I’ve had it
for many years. It’s a baby camel
hair coat. I originally got it from
Nordstrom many years ago — at
least 20 years ago.”
Kristen McCoy,
West Linn
“(I like) this scarf, twofold. One, I don’t want to have
a cold neck — truly! And, I just think this time of year
… in the Pacific Northwest, you have to wear a scarf. It
kind of ‘fancies up the mom outfit,’ if you will.”

“It’s sunny but still crisp. I got these boots in Seattle.”
Amy Pattison,
Tualatin
“(I chose this outfit
because) it’s kind of a
fall outfit. The boots
are from DSW.”
