Classic cars, vintage boats, waterski spectaculars and
loads of fun are on tap at the annual Collector Car and
Classic Boat Show on August 17and 18.
SUMMER CRUISE-IN

The 14th annual Oswego Heritage
Council Collector Car and Classic Boat
Show will be held Aug. 17 and 18 in Lake
Oswego.
Featured will be collector cars and clas-
sic boats, motorcycles and a showing of
PT658, which is the only usable PT (pa-
trol torpedo) boat in the world. Admission
will be free at the three venues, including
George Rogers Park, Lake Oswego Corpo-
ration docks and Foothills Park docks.
The Lake Oswego Lions Club will be
on the scene to sell pancakes for break-
fast and hamburgers for lunch. Food and
drinks will also be available at Stickmen
Brewery & Skewery.
The arrival of PT658 will kick off this
popular event when it arrives on Aug.
17 at 10 a.m. at Foothills Park docks.
The boat, which will be crewed by three
World War II veterans, will be welcomed
by Lake Oswego Mayor Kent Studebaker.
The third annual water ski spectacular
will begin at 3 p.m. A highlight will be
the Polka Dot Express Skiers, made up of
glamorous ladies in polka dot swimsuits,
who will spell out OSWEGO.
The classic boat parade will start at 4
p.m., with 35 beautiful boats cruising
around Oswego Lake.
On Aug. 18, the cars and boats will be
exhibited from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event, which gains in popularity
every year, is a project of the Oswego
