Portland Tribune
Southeast Division Street
During the past few years, Division
has rapidly transformed from a sleepy
arterial to a smorgasbord. With Pok
Pok and Stumptown Coffee as the
catalysts, it’s turned into a street
where you can get the best of everything from banh mi
at Double Dragon, to bagels at Spielman Coffee, to
high-end seafood at Roe, to upscale Mexican at Xico.
And there’s always more on the way.
East Burnside Street
When Le Pigeon landed at 738 E.
Burnside St. in 2006, it was one of
the grittiest streets in town. Actually,
it’s still one of the grittiest streets in
town, but it’s also home to a lot of re-
ally great food and drink spots, from the Screen Door,
June, Heart Coffee Roasting and Levant in the upper
reaches, on down to Noble Rot, the Farm, Burnside
Brewing, and just off the street, Kir and Nong’s Khao
Man Gai.
