Pizza + Beer = Game Season
Godfather’s Pizza is your one-stop-shop for food and fun
By
JORDY BYRD
Visitors to Godfather’s Pizza in Fisher’s Landing will discover a buffet which includes a salad bar
stocked full of fresh vegetables.
Godfather’s Pizza buffet includes a variety of pizzas
with numerous topping choices.
The Picho family of Washougal enjoy a meal at the Godfather’s Pizza in Fisher’s Landing.
“Pretty much every Saturday and Sunday is busy
around here. Guys come in to drink beer, eat pizza
and watch the game. The atmosphere is comfortable,
it’s family friendly and our staff is the best out there.”
— Owner Patrick Cahill
I
t’s game time. Get a little superstitious.
Wear your lucky socks or warrior
paint. Stretch before watching. And
don’t forget that it doesn’t get better
than watching the big game with pizza and
beer.
Whether you’re a collegiate fan—Beavers,
Ducks, Huskies, Cougars, whatever — or
professional sports buff, Godfather’s Pizza
has just the right pie and beverage to get you
through the big game.
Order in or carry it out. Godfather’s Pizza
at Fisher’s Landing boasts three 55 inch flat-
screen televisions and a fourth one is on the
way. Inside, the restaurant features big com-
fy booths, arcade games for the kiddos and
family-friendly seating. Best of all, there’s
always a game on the television.
“We get a lot of sports enthusiasts,” said
owner Patrick
Cahill, noting
during football
season the res-
taurant stocks
up on beer.
“This time of
year
there’s
so many good
games on. Peo-
ple are excited
about football,
and we’ll play
pretty
much
whatever
the
fans want to
watch.”
Cahill said so
far the biggest
games of the
season were the
Apple Cup — featuring rivals Washington
State Cougars versus the University of Wash-
ington Huskies — and games between home-
town rivals the Oregon State Beavers versus
the University of Oregon Ducks.
“Pretty much every Saturday and Sunday
is busy around here,” Cahill said, noting the
restaurant has emphasized services for din-
ing room patrons in recent years.
“Guys come in to drink beer, eat pizza and
watch the game. The atmosphere is comfort-
able, it’s family friendly and our staff is the
best out there.”
Not tomention the pizza ismouthwatering.
Through the middle of January Godfather’s
Pizza will offer the Holiday Feast. The spe-
cial includes two medium pizzas and caramel
streusel for just $22.99. Godfather’s signature
pizzas include the All-Meat Combo — a deca-
dent combination of beef, pepperoni, sausage,
ham and bacon bits —and the Hot Stuff Pizza
— a spicy concoction of pepperoni, beef, Ital-
ian sausage, jalapenos and onions.
The restaurant also serves up beer by the
pitcher or glass and wine. The wine list in-
cludes a chardonnay, merlot and zinfandel
and the beer list boasts Mac & Jack’s Amber
Ale, Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Widmer Hefewei-
zen, Samuel Adams and Coors Light.
Football alone doesn’t dominate the big screen.
During Portland Trail Blazers games, restaurant
patrons are invited to enter a raffle with the chance
to win up to four pizzas. Fans will also filter through
the doors during the basketball frenzy that is March
madness and into baseball season.
Beer and pizza specials are offered on a rotating
basis. Check out Godfather’s Pizza’s Facebook page,
