Ovarian Cancer Empowerment
Walk, Aug. 3
The Sherie Hildreth Ovarian Cancer
Foundation was founded to raise
awareness and to fund research for
Ovarian Cancer. Rise and shine for
SHOC 9th Annual Empowerment Day
Walk, Run & Race. The event consists
of a 10K Run/Walk, 5K Run/Walk and
1-Mile Family Fun Walk in Gladstone.
The proceeds benefit OHSU Knight Can-
cer Institute, one of the nations leading
research centers specializing in Ovar-
ian Cancer. The Sherie Hildreth Ovarian
Cancer Empowerment Walk is an oppor-
tunity for families and businesses, as
well as other survivors and supporters
from surrounding communities, to come

National Night Out Celebration,
Aug. 6
Several jurisdictions throughout
the area will participate in National
Night Out. This is a unique crime
and drug prevention event spon-
sored by the National Association
of Town Watch (NATW). Visit the

Aug. 17
