Dr. Brandi Burland is a Portland native and proud
to call the Great Northwest her home for the past 38
years. Graduating from the Oregon School of Mas-
sage in 1993, Brandi ran a successful massage prac-
tice for 15 years until deciding to go back to school to
become a chiropractic physician. She attended the
University of Western States and received her Doc-
torate of Chiropractic in 2011. She fervently believes
in a natural, holistic approach to health and well-
ness and regards chiropractic care as an essential
piece to that axiom. Her office is located in down-
town Milwaukie, right off 99E in the Spring Creek
Complex.

velocity/low force adjust-
ment technique to increase
mobility, improve function,
and decrease pain.

is great for tissue repair,
nerve regeneration, and de-
creasing inflammation, pain
and scar tissue.

CURRENT THERAPY
-
IFC uses a mid-frequency
electrical signal to stimulate
endorphins, which is the
body’s natural pain reliever.
Stimulating the muscle fibers
also works to “fatigue” tight
muscles leading to a more
relaxed state.
SOFT TISSUE THERAPY
-
Coming from an extensive
background
in
manual
therapies, Dr. Burland uses
several different techniques
during treatment to target
tight muscles and soft tis-
sue injuries, including Pin
and Stretch, Instrument As-
sisted Soft Tissue Massage
(IASTM), and Trigger Point
Release.

and respectful. Students appreciate
teacher support. One student commented
that teachers tell her:
‘If you don’t understand it, I’ll teach it 10
different ways to make sure you learn it.’ ”

Virginia’s New & Used Outlet
is a non-profit organization located on 15027 SE
McLoughlin Boulevard, Milwaukie, OR. They carry name-brand new and used clothing
as well as shoes, house ware, perfume, toys, small weaponry, and more! They get dona-
tions from the community and Happy Valley’s consignment store, the
Wardrobe
. The store
opened shortly before Thanksgiving of 2011 thanks to Ann Toth. She opened
Virginia’s
in
the name of her friend and devoted employee of Deseret Industries, Virginia. It was Vir-
ginia’s dream to open a local new and used non-profit to give back to the community and
offer goods at affordable prices. Sadly, Virginia passed away before her dream could be
realized so Ann stepped in and opened this store in her memory.
