Canby’s annual Light Up The
Night festivities begin on Friday, Dec.
6.
First Friday will occur in down-
town businesses from 5-8 p.m.
The holiday parade will begin at
6 p.m., with the tree lighting immedi-
ately following Santa’s arrival in Wait
Park at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Cascade Harmony Chorus will
perform music at the gazebo as the
crowd awaits the arrival of Santa on
the Canby Fire District’s fire truck.
Santa — in the gazebo after the
lighting of the park — will meet with
children and hear their holiday
wishes. The Catalinas will begin car-
oling throughout downtown at 6:30
p.m.
Participants in the parade can be
a person, group, business, or organi-
zation that is interested in helping to
light up downtown Canby. This year,
Canby Main Street asks that all pa-
rade participants donate at least one
can of food, but more is appreciated.
Canby Kiwanis will have a table
next to the gazebo to collect canned
food from both parade participants
and spectators.
For more information, contact
Jamie Stickel, Main Street manager,
at 503-266-0772 or by email at Stick-
