FIREWORKS:

She says in the past decades there have been many

changes in the technical part of aerial design. Computer pro-
grams are now used to create fireworks shows and larger dis-

plays are often choreographed to music, making them more

theatrical than in previous years.
“It is a pleasure to be invited around the world to see the cut-

ting edge exhibitions before purchasing. There are more colors
and effects offered all the time,” Gobet said. “This year we or-

dered a really amazing multi-shot star and butterflies item and
look forward to seeing it in our displays.”

According to Gobet, there are three types of fireworks shows

-- hand-fired, which are used for smaller community events,
like General Canby Days, Molalla Buckeroo and the St Paul

Rodeo; electrically fired displays that can be seen at the Ore-
gon Gardens, Oaks Park and Lake Oswego. The ‘upper eche-

lon’ like Seattle, Portland and Fort Vancouver are computer

digitally fired shows. Set up for the largest show can take more
than three days to complete and are often done on barges that

are located on waterways.
Their biggest firework is a 10-inch shell that soars 1,000 feet

in the air and opens to 1,000 feet across.

Canby Ford

Two CLASSICS that have stood the test of TIME

You see them all over Canby and the Willamette Valley; the ubiquitous Ford F150
pickup truck. Perhaps the most popular single pick up truck model in the world, the

Ford F 150 has been sold continuously for over six decades. It is currently, and has
been, the best selling pickup truck in America for the last 3 years.

Ford F-150 has been named Motor Trend’s Truck of the Year in 1997,2004,2009
and 2012.

The F series truck was first introduced in 1948. It had a flat bed, one piece wind-
shield and integrated headlamps. Post war America was ready to go to work and

Ford was there with a pick up truck to help them get the job done. The F Series pickup
truck is currently in its 12th generation.

In a World where automotive tastes and styles change drastically and quickly the
Ford F Series pickup truck has been evolving with the American working force since

1948.
There has been a Ford dealer in Canby since the 1920’s. The Feller family has
been selling F Series Fords at Canby Ford since 1966.

During that time a lot has evolved but a couple of things have remained the same.
First, Ford has never waivered from it’s commitment to building the hardest working

pickup truck in America.
Two, since 1966, when the 5th generation of the F-Series was being introduced,

Canby Ford has been committed to building the strongest customer relationships
possible. Canby Ford doesn’t want to help you buy a vehicle one time; they want to

be there for a lifetime. That’s why you can expect to be treated right every time you
do business at Canby Ford.
