Throughout family-friendly neigh-
borhoods, parks and walking trails, or
at its many community events, Happy
Valley residents can visit with their
neighbors and make new acquain-
tances. The City keeps its citizens
connected in other ways, as well.
Taking to the airwaves this year, the
City launched its new radio station
AM1700 where it broadcasts city
news and events, as well as important
messages and information provided
by partnering agencies, 24 hours a
day. Technology at City Hall provides
visitors with free wireless internet
access, and touch screen kiosks
where they will find information about
city services, local points of interest
and can print out forms and maps.
Facebook followers can click on the
City of Happy Valley’s page and see
up to the minute news and happen-
ings. A well designed, user-friendly
website provides internet users with
complete city services information,
and a place for citizens to sign up to
receive news flashes, emergency
announcements or the monthly news-
letter.
