— It’s one-stop entertainment the Ever-
green Museum, an aviation museum in McMinnville that also now
houses a water park. In addition to a variety of air and space exhibits,
you can have a bite to eat at an on-site cafe or catch a movie in the
state-of-the-art 3-D theater. Then head over to the water park, where

CRYSTAL SPRINGS RHODODENDRON
GARDEN
— Originally a test garden, Crystal
Springs Rhododendron Garden is a lush 9-acre
garden full of water features, bridges, and of
course, rhododendrons. Located at Southeast
28th Avenue and Woodstock Boulevard in South-
east Portland. Admission is $3 a person during
summer months.
JOHN’S INCREDIBLE
PIZZA
—With separate eat-
ing and playing areas, John’s
Incredible Pizza is half sit-
down buffet and half arcade.
On the food side, there’s piz-
za, pasta, salads and desserts
and five-themed dining
rooms. The arcade has a play area for tod-
dlers, hundreds of video games and laser

— The 99W
Drive-in Theatre in New-
berg offers weekend block-
busters under the stars.
The drive-in opens in the
late spring and stays open
until late October. Twenty-
three miles outside of
Portland, the theater
has room for up to
300 cars each night.
Admission to the
cash-only theater is
$6 for adults, $5 for
kids and free for chil-
dren younger than 5
years old. It’s located on
Highway 99W, west of
