BUICK
Buick is the oldest American automobile brand, having been
founded in 1899 by David Buick of Detroit. The company was the
foundation of General Motors in 1908, and has continued pro-
ducing automobiles to the present day. Look for a series of three
or four “portholes” on the fender or hood of premium Buicks
- it’s been the brand’s styling trademark for more than 60 years.
The turbocharged Buick Regal and the compact Buick Verano will
attract a younger buyer to this year’s auto show.
Regal
The 2012 Buick Regal is Buick’s sport sedan offering, with an
available manual transmission, a turbocharged 270 horsepower
engine, a driver-selectable suspension system and a firm, Eu-
ropean-tuned chassis. The Buick Regal delivers a driving expe-
rience that rivals the best import sport sedans in the segment.
Engine choices include Buick’s standard direct-injected 2.4-liter
Ecotec or a 2.0-liter turbocharged Ecotec. Regal is also available
with eAssist light electrification technology, which boosts high-

connects the driver’s smart phone to a seven-inch LED high-reso-
lution, full-color touch screen display radio that enables stream-
ing stereo audio from the phone through services like Pandora,
or any Bluetooth media device.
