Death Notices
These notices are written by our staff (from your submission information) including the deceased's name, age, date of death, as well as funeral information. These notices do not include a photo. To place a free death notice simply click on the link below and complete the online obituary form.
Deadlines:
Our deadlines vary with each of our newspapers but death notices submitted on Friday at 3 pm the week prior to publication should make the following issue. For our monthly newspapers the deadline is typically the 15th of the month prior.
Even if it is past deadline, please contact the appropriate newspaper to see if they can accommodate your notice. A list of phone numbers for all our newspapers can be found on the Contact Us tab on our website.

Lake Oswego resident John Q. Public died July 12, 2009 at his home. He was 91.
A memorial gathering will take place at Oswego Lake County Club on July 30, 2009 at 3:00 pm.

Families interested in placing a tribute in our newspapers with specific
wording and a photo may do so as a paid ad. We are happy to offer writing assistance or to work with your funeral home to produce this as well.
The cost for the tribute will depend on how many words and photos in the
obituary. These tributes are written by the family and can include anything the family desires. Typical information includes: accomplishments, activities, life history, extended family and friends, etc.
In an effort to inform as many of our readers as possible, these obituaries
will appear in the Portland Tribune and at least one of our local newspapers.
Obituary Rates:
Rates include obituary running in the Portland Tribune and one local
newspaper and online at portlandtribune.com. Rates include cost for photo, header, and birth and death dates.
