Sand, surf and rocky
coastal scenery can be ex-
plored in the coastal region
of Washington State. With its
diverse landscapes – mountain ridges, deep canyons, rain forest
and peninsula, festivals from culinary to cultural are produced
throughout the year. Orca-whale watching, kayaking, or hiking in the Olympic National
Forest are just a few venues for outdoor activities. Long Beach is located on a 28 mile
peninsula and provides miles of sand for exploration and beach activity. In the northern
part of the coast region, Sequim is the lavender capital of North American. The sur-
rounding area has become know as the “Twilight Territory”. Home of the world famous
“Dungeness Crab” the region is well known for its scenery, and plenty of activities.
