PUGET SOUNd
The Puget Sound region,
home of the state’s larg-
est city Seattle, has the
largest ferry fleet in the United
States providing access to the many off shore islands.
Best known for the Space Needle, the first revolving restaurant, it is also home to the big-
gest coffee chain in the world. From big city life to island retreats, it has a rich variety of
recreational, vacation, and holiday pursuits. Every facet of the arts can be experienced in
this region from the Tacoma Arts Museum and the Experience Music Project Museum to
the Seattle Opera to name a few. Thousands are annually attracted to the region’s hall-
mark festivals: Seafair, Bumbershoot and Northwest Folk Life Festival to name a few.
