First Fridays in Troutdale:
Take in live music, order some
food from one of several diverse
restaurants, gaze at original art-
work and visit the shops in the
downtown area along the His-
toric Columbia River Highway.
Held 5-9 p.m. the first Friday of
the month.
Troutdale Open-Air Market:
At Troutdale’s farmers market,
experience live music and the
merchants of downtown Trout-
dale, while enjoying locally
grown foods, gourmet cooking
and fine arts and crafts from ar-
ea growers and artisans. The
market is open from 10 a.m. to 2
p.m. Saturdays, rain or shine, at
Depot Park, 473 E. Historic Co-
lumbia River Highway. Visit

Troutdale SummerFest:
Trout-
dale’s annual SummerFest on
July 20 begins with a morning
parade on the East Historic Co-
lumbia River Highway, which
travels through downtown
Troutdale and ends up at Glenn
Otto Park. Festivities continue
with games, entertainment and
family-oriented activities. Be-
fore the parade, families can
start the celebration with “Chalk
it up” in Mayors Square. Down-
town shops also will be open.

Fall Foliage Studio Tour:
Visi-
tors have a unique chance to
take a self-guided tour of the lo-
cal studios of artists to watch
them at work. The tour of local
artists’ studios opens Friday,
Oct. 18, with a gala opening of
the exhibition gallery at Lorang
Fine Art in Cascade Locks. Par-
ticipating artists donate a leaf-
themed piece of art, which are
auctioned off to help fund subse-
quent studio tours. The gallery
is open through Oct. 20, and the
tour runs Oct. 19-20. The West
Columbia Gorge Chamber of
Commerce presents this event.
