senting sponsor. The restaurant, owned by
festival organizer Dave Nicoli, has collabo-
rated with The Home Depot for a kid-friend-
ly booth Friday and Saturday afternoons.
Featuring mask-making, a coloring contest,
cakewalk and Radio Disney, the booth also
will be the place to meet members of the
Portland Timbers on Friday afternoon.
While the main stage will be bouncing
with musical acts Friday and Saturday eve-
ning, the festival also will bring back its
popular Community Stage.
Run by Tigard and Tualatin’s community
theater group Mask & Mirror, the free stage
will feature a wide variety of local talent on
Friday and Saturday afternoons, including
martial arts displays, local choirs, theater
troupes and musicians.
After the community stage wraps up in
the evening, the main stage lights up with
live music.
Rock band Hit Machine will headline on
Friday and The Beatniks on Saturday, tak-
ing the stage at about 9:30 p.m.
Advance tickets to the festival are avail-
able on the festival’s website, including a
special offer for Friday only, offering unlim-
ited carnival rides for $25.
Parking is available at Tigard High School
at the Tigard Swim Center for $5. Parking
proceeds will benefit the school’s Boosters.
Shuttle rides down the hill to the park are
available for $1 to benefit the American
Cancer Society and Relay for Life Tigard-
Tualatin.
