In fact, luxurious bathrooms have al-
ways been big draws for the NWNatural
Street of Dreams. There’s been a bonus
room with a full wet bar and decked
out bathroom, a man cave with its own
urinal and one home in last year’s show
featured a solid bronze bathtub. There
have also been pebble pathways, bath-
tubs that fill from the ceiling and show-
ers with more showerheads and body
sprays than one could ever imagine.
The 2013 NW Natural Street of
Dreams hardly comes up short with its
bathrooms either.
The Rendezvous
, by
Dale Lumpkin
,
has a decked out master bath with a
heated toilet seat and floors and an in-
novative tub that offers up heat therapy
through bubbles filled with warm air. A
smaller detail that Lumpkin has inte-
grated into many of his homes is put-
ting electrical outlets behind bathroom
drawers, so blow dryers and other gad-
gets can be used just by opening the
drawer.
“When you’re done, you don’t have
to unplug them, gather up the cord
and put them back in the drawer,” says
Peggy Lumpkin
, the designer behind
The Rendezvous
.
All of the homes but one have at
least four-and-a-half bathrooms; The
American Dream, by
Westlake Devel-
opment Group
, has six, and all of
Beau-
voir’s
four bedrooms are suites that fea-
ture full Kohler bathrooms. In addition
