edical services, fire and po-
lice protection and a variety
of other emergency services
are close at hand in our area. Not
only are they available, all are well
trained and professional. Fire and
police teams assist each other when
needed, in true community spirit.
Both large and small fire and law en-
forcement districts partner with each
other and the communities’ residents
to achieve at atmosphere of safety
and secureness for the area.
Clackamas Fire District #1
is proud
to be an internationally accredited fire
services association, providing fire, res-
cue, and emergency medical services
to five cities (including Milwaukie, Or-
egon City, Happy Valley, Johnson City
and a portion of Damascus), as well
as the unincorporated areas of Oak
Lodge, Clackamas, Westwood, Carver,
Redland, Beavercreek, Carus, Clarkes,
and South End/Central Point.
With 16 fire stations strategically
located throughout Clackamas Coun-
ty and with a workforce of more than
200 employees & volunteers they
serve over 166,000 citizens and 194
square miles.
Clackamas County Sheriff’s Depart-
ment
serves all of the county, with
special enhanced service districts in
many of the North Clackamas areas.
At least two of our cities contract with
the Sheriff’s Office for local law en-
forcement coverage. You’ll also find a
strong presence of Oregon’s State Pa-
trol in the area, assisting in the per-
sonal security for everyone.
Two major ambulance companies
serve the area, and no less than three
major hospitals and several medi-
cal centers serve everyone’s medical
needs. The local hospitals each have
specialty areas to assist in the well-
being of residents and visitors. Lists
