From education to water

the mix, the North Clacka-
mas area provides for all its
citizens.
Within
the
Cham-
ber’s boundaries two
main school districts,
North Clackamas
and
Gladstone,
offer a vari-
ety of K-12 educational
choices, including state
of the art technical
schools and enviable al-
ternative education mod-
els. Several private and
charter schools round
out the educational op-
portunities for our young
residents.
Clackamas Community
College, Oregon Insti-
tute of Technology,
and
Marylhurst University
provide college and adult
learning with both cam-
pus and on-line learning
opportunities.
Most of theNorthClack-
amas area is served by
Clackamas Fire District
#1,
an internationally
acclaimed fire, rescue,
training and medical
service. With a motto
of “Your Friend for Life”
the men and women of
the fire district strive for
excellence in all they do.
Throughout the area,
from Boring to Damas-
cus,
and
Milwaukie
to Gladstone, special
districts provide for the
needs of citizens, includ-
ing water districts, sani-
tation and wastewater
treatment, as well as a
county-wide library dis-
trict to service readers
and computer users.
