Damascus Candle:
From past to
present; Damascus is renowned for its
celebration of the State’s Centennial.
In 2009, Damascus refurbished the

sesquicentennial. It stands today as a
subtle beacon of light honoring the past
and lighting the future for the citizens of
Damascus and all who pass through.
Day in Damascus
is a community event
for all ages that takes place throughout
the city and includes many free
activities such as live entertainment,
safety fair, dog show, petting zoo,

field games. Also, for a minimal price
there are a variety of booths with kids’
